SMS Terms & Opt-In

This page describes the OffCampusReview text message notification program for landlords and property managers: what we send, how a landlord opts in, and how to get help or stop messages. It also shows the opt-in screen exactly as it appears inside a landlord account, so the point of consent can be reviewed without signing in.

2. How to Opt In
Text notifications are disabled by default. No number is enrolled unless the account holder completes both steps below. This is the only way to opt in: we never collect numbers offline, by phone, on paper, from third parties, or from purchased or imported lists.
- Sign in to your landlord account and open Settings → Notifications, then enter your mobile number.
- Check the consent box, which is unchecked by default, and submit. We text a six-digit code to that number, which you must enter to finish enrolling — so a number cannot be enrolled without physical possession of the device.
Consent is stored with a timestamp. The checkbox is optional: the full landlord dashboard works without it, and email notifications are unaffected.

Below is the consent screen as it appears in the landlord dashboard at www.offcampusreview.com/landlord/settings, under Settings → Notifications. Sign-in is required to reach the live form; this is a capture of it. The disclosure text and the policy links are rendered from the same source strings as the real form, so the wording a landlord agrees to and the wording shown here cannot differ.

3. What We Send
Every message relates to activity on a property the recipient owns or manages. These are real examples; the address, names, counts, and link vary per message. The “Reply STOP to opt out” line shown here is included on the first message sent to a new subscriber.

Links in our messages always point to our own domain. We do not use public URL shorteners.

You can also turn text notifications off at any time in your account's notification settings, without texting anything.
5. Program Terms
Program description
Verified landlord and property-manager account holders may opt in to receive text message notifications about activity on properties they own or manage on OffCampusReview, including new tenant reviews, new rental inquiries from students, property verification status updates, and listing claim approvals. This is a transactional account-notification program. We do not send marketing or promotional content by text message. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase or of using any part of OffCampusReview.

Message frequency varies based on activity on your properties.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. OffCampusReview does not charge for text notifications; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages. You may also disable text notifications at any time in your account settings. Reply START to resubscribe.
