Would Not Rent AgainDid Not Feel Safe
"This landlord is a nasty, money hungry liar that only knows how to communicate with people through the use of chat GPT. Moved here from out of state and did not have a chance to view the property before I signed. Landlord told me I would be living with her and one other female grad student, when I moved in I was living with her, her boyfriend, their two cats (I’m allergic), their dog, and the other female grad student living there moved out a month after I moved in, and was replaced by a man in his 30’s who I later found out would routinely sneak into my room (which I was not given a key to) to sniff my dirty underwear. I felt very unsafe living with two men, and the female live in landlord is mentally unwell. I was made to feel like an unwanted guest in the home, utility charges were sketchy and sometimes came out of nowhere, and if I questioned it or asked to see confirmation, the landlord would send me a long winded chat GPT generated response with her own generated receipts. She would routinely talk to me about how she liked to run little scams on Amazon and internet sites to get free stuff, she’s a total scammer. She would also send me constant text messages complaining about any evidence of myself being left around the house and not immediately cleaned even though she and her boyfriend would trash the shared kitchen and bathroom almost every day. Zero concern or compassion was shown to me when I found out the other roommate had been violating me (I have a weeks worth of distinct video documentation) I ended up having to file a police report and move myself out of the spot (only one month early from the end of my lease) and initially she agreed to let me out of the lease, until two days later realized she didn’t have the money and completely changed her mind, has been making me pay utilities, shared household item fees, and sent me a fat bill for heating oil she ordered after I moved out. Her boyfriend’s dad owns a contracting company and she had them write up a phoney receipt to “repair” the walls of my room because I had left a command hook on the wall, so that she could keep my security deposit. I cannot express enough how much I hope this doesn’t happen to someone else, these people are not fit to manage a property. "
