Maintenance handled any most problems with quality, and quick work, but there were a few larger issues (many from the aforementioned wear and tear) that took a long time to actually get fixed beyond a quick patch-up. Despite this, it was always a pleasure to work with the team. There are some fees and fluff on top of the listed rent but it was all disclosed in the lease. Communication with the landlord could sometimes be difficult if there were tough issues to address, but in fairness there were also plenty of times where he was understanding and worked with us. My experience with L&R was pretty good overall, though not perfect. As someone who rented with them 2024-2025 in a different property, I think they had a marked improvement from that experience. "

"L&R has been a great place to rent at! They are very responsive and fix maintenance issues quickly (usually within a day or two or submitting a ticket). While we’ve never met Ben (landlord) he seems very nice over text. Lisa (property manager) is an absolute sweetheart and very helpful! The only complaint we have is with the heating and utilities. Because of the poor insulation, it takes a lot of electricity to heat our apartment and our monthly utility bill is higher than we were originally expecting. We were told it would be between $25-35 per month and it has been $50+ in the colder months. However, the rent is reasonable. I do think they are more cost effective options out there on the west side if that’s your main concern, but I’d still recommend L&R! "

"Walking in the place was nice and I thought the landlord would be too but this was not the case at all. After the lease ended they only gave back less than half the security because of damages that were there when we moved in and the place not cleaned even tho we had to deep clean upon move in. Good luck if you’re locked out because it’ll take over 12 hours for them to let you in and the landlord will tell you there’s nothing he can do and to not do it again. The heating is horrible and had to move out for a couple days while they wrapped the windows. If you’re not on the first floor you hear every footstep above you. People also will leave the front door open all the time. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to be scammed on your security deposit and have a rude landlord "
