"Nice rooms. Spacious. Small kitchen "

"i’ll start with the good parts of 20 Hawley: the location is amazing, especially if you don’t drive. I felt so safe living here, as its keycard access only and all the doors are lockable. The rooms are beautiful, for the most part. Now, my issues. The most glaring issue with this place is how ran down it is. Me and my friends all had never-ending maintenance issues that never got resolved. Specifically, we had a leak from the first day i moved in in august 2024 that is just now “being fixed” in March 2026. They left a giant hole in our kitchen ceiling and havent fixed it yet. With that, amenities either never work or break all the time. the hot tub is boarded up, the coffee machine is always out of something, the gym is dirty, the laundry room machines are always half broken, and elevators are constantly breaking. To note, I saw a maintenance man working on the elevators recently wearing a confederate flag shirt which is both wildly inappropriate and deeply upsetting. Maintenance staff also will half ass their jobs, and once retaliated against my roommates and i for reporting them. the front desk staff was very helpful in resolving the issue, but it still left a really bad taste in our mouths. Our windows don’t open in this building, meaning that the fire alarm is set off constantly. Ive been woken up so many times at 3am when i have an 8am the next day because someone burnt popcorn. Also, rooms face the street, meaning that it can become super loud at night with cars beeping and screaming people. The building also has a tendency to smell sometimes in the lobby. This building has so so much potential to be the “luxury housing” it claims to be, but it truly falls short. If it wasnt for my roommates, who wanted to stay here, i wouldve moved out as quickly as possible. Stay far away "
